Purveyors of fine music-based documentaries, series and live events to BBC Radio 2, Radio 4, the World Service and BBC4
This was what you could call a varied role – Sue did everything from Smooth Operations programme research and publicity, producing the flagship Radio 2 show, Nick Barraclough and providing voice-overs for commercial companies to setting up the company website.
She regularly provided production assistance on a host of live events including the CMA Awards from Nashville, the Cambridge Folk Festival, BBC Folk Awards, Blackpool Lights and the Young Folk Awards. Sue fixed artist sessions and interviews – and did some herself which went out on Radio 2 and Radio 4.
Sue even did accounts in the early days. Smooth Operations is still operating despite this.
Permanent position held from July 1997 to February 2001, some years prior to Sue setting up Sookio Ltd.
