Our expert panel for this October's Sookio Masterclass 'So. How do you fit it all in?' keeps going from strength to strength, with the addition of Alison Morris, a jeweller who trades under the name Veiled Rebel.
This event is focused on the realities of running a social media campaign alongside the demands of your business. Where do you find the time to get as much as you need out of social? As a small business owner with an impressive presence on social, Alison will be providing relevant and applicable advice.
She has this to say about social media: "It's a wonderful opportunity to share, meet new people and stay in touch. It is also fun. We all spend a large amount of time on social media and who would want to do that if it wasn't enjoyable?
"My boards on Pinterest provide the greatest insight into Veiled Rebel and as a result, who I am. They are my inspiration, my 'sounding board' and my motivation. I love spending hours trawling through boards and images; sharing, liking and repinning. This plays an essential role for me, when designing and developing a jewellery collection."
About Alison Morris
Alison is a jewellery designer currently working on her launch collection. It's a very exciting time and she can't wait to show everyone what she's been working on. Alison promises some sneaky peeks soon, as she just can't keep a secret!
She was recently short-listed for a City Lit Benchpeg award and one of the images above is of a finished ring whilst in an exhibition. Another is when it was a work in progress! The simple and clear lines of this piece clearly represent her signature style. The light and dark rhodium finish appeals to Alison's love of contrasts.
