The delightful Miss Sue Flay will be joining the fantastic line-up at our first Sookio Masterclass: Straight-Talking Social Media event at the end of this month.
Speakers include the communications team from the University of Cambridge, Grazia magazine's Digital Editor and Age UK’s social media manager. The event will focus on how to talk on social media and will be held at the Cambridge Brew House on 29th April 2014.
Blogger and events hostess Miss Sue Flay will be bringing her conversational and fun approach to social media to the panel.
‘I love connecting with new people on an hourly basis, it makes life so much more interesting and you just don't know where an online conversation might take you,’ says Sue.
‘I also love saying yes to the things that scare me the most, that's why I've managed to do so much with my alter ego. If I had said no, I would most likely have given up a long time ago.’
‘I used to chat online 15 years ago when it was "taboo" to talk to strangers. I even met my long term partner chatting online through an early social network, so you could say I'm more of an addict than an expert!’
About Miss Sue Flay
Miss Sue Flay is one of the UK’s leading British etiquette enthusiasts, self-proclaimed domestic goddess and highly regarded consultant, reviewer and trainer in hotels, restaurants and tearooms across the country.
She has worked in partnership with Cath Kidston, John Lewis and Kenwood and currently creates and co-hosts unique dining events such as “Dine like Downton” with etiquette expert Mr William Hanson.
With over eleven years of experience in events and hospitality, teamed with experience in running her own afternoon tea catering and events business, The Secluded Tea Party, she has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience as a teacher, blogger and writer, reviewer and has even appeared on radio and national TV.
Starting as a blogger and wannabe events hostess, Jo Christy is the real mastermind behind this alter ego. She has created a successful brand, written for various publications, has survived three redundancies within a very short space of time and is about to launch a new venture under her "real self" as a result.
What started as a simple idea to meet new people online, has opened up doors and ideas that not even she thought would happen.
