It's great to see another site go live. And what a pleasure this one has been to work on.
Cambridge Enterprise is the department at the University of Cambridge which helps students and staff to commercialise their research and inventions. They connect academics with industry, helping them licence their research, get new tech ventures off the ground and share their knowledge with government, industry and the public sector.
It's been particularly interesting working on this website in the context of two other long-running projects we've got on the go:
- The Entrepreneurs, an informative graphic novel about startups
- The Cambridge Phenomenon, the beautiful book focusing on the global success of the Cambridge tech cluster over the last fifty years. Cambridge Enterprise is an essential bridge between the world-leading academic research which takes place at the University and the formation of new companies which contribute so much to the economy in this area.
The site was developed by Onespacemedia, an associate of Sookio Ltd. It features specially commissioned photography from Sir Cam of the Hauser Forum, where Cambridge Enterprise is based. Take a look at the Sir Cam Flickr stream to see more of his incredible Cambridge photography.
And we did the words. Or copywriting as it's called in some circles.
