Angie Greaves website gets a makeover

We're delighted to announce the relaunch of the website for Magic 105.4FM Drive presenter Angie Greaves.

Working with developers imagical we've developed a new online presence for Angie which better reflects her personality and gives a solid platform for her multimedia content.

Take a look at the fabulous new angiegreaves.com website.

What was wrong with the old website?

The previous version of angiegreaves.com had a few problems:

- it was awkward to upload video, audio and image content and to display it in a sleek and professional manner

- none of the content was shareable, meaning that Angie couldn't easily share her posts on Twitter or Facebook

- there was no blog functionality, so content was always being overwritten and she couldn't build up an archive of posts and features

- the design was far from contemporary (OK, we're being kind here).

The thinking behind the new site

As a radio presenter, it was really important that we got the multimedia aspect of Angie's site right. She regularly features in videos, has a SoundCloud account where she posts interviews and has a continual stream of new photos of the celebrities and authors she meets which we want to put up. We wanted to create a solid platform for all the multimedia content and make sure it featured prominently on the homepage so people could get to it straight away.

The importance of this content had an big impact on the design. We've gone for simplicity - lots of white space and a subtle colour scheme so that the multimedia content could really shine through.

This design also helps better reflect Angie's personality - warm and approachable while classy and professional. This comes across in the amazing shots by photographer Alison Webster which we've used across the site, which I think really capture 'Angie'.

Over on Facebook, Angie's posts always generate lots of discussion and positive responses from her community of nearly 6K followers. We wanted to create an easy connection between the two, so that we could write a post on the main website, share it on Facebook and get a conversation going on both platforms. We also wanted a site that looked gorgeous (at last!) and would draw people in from Facebook, Twitter and other social platforms.

The guys at imagical did a great job - full of ideas with the technical know-how to back it all up. I look forward to working with them on future projects.
