Our work with the BBC

The client

BBC Radio 2: BBC Country

The project

Editors on the website.

What we did

Produced over 200 reviews and features, commissioning articles from BBC producers and presenters.

Hosted the message board, maintaining news, competitions, tour dates and chart sections, and looked after the online presence for Radio 2 presenters Bob Harris and Nick Barraclough.

We also travelled round the UK, Europe and America to interview artists and assist on live events such as the Cambridge Folk Festival and the CMA Awards from Nashville.

The client

BBC Music

The project

Writing music reviews.

What we did

After three years running the BBC Country website, producing and commissioning at least two reviews a week, in the early days of Sookio, Sue Keogh continued to write reviews for BBCi Music.

Artists covered included Willie NelsonMartina-Topley Bird and Throwing Muses.

Read more of Sue’s reviews at the BBC website.

The client

BBC Soaps

The project

Hosting the soaps message boards.

What we did

Debate nurturing and general fisticuffs-prevention on the lively soap forums for EastEnders, Neighbours and general soaps chat.

This was in the days before what we know as social media, but the skills we honed then have always been useful when managing communities on Facebook and elsewhere.

[Director Sue Keogh] has an amazing ability to write fantastic copy both accurately, to deadline and with authority, and is an incredibly adaptable web editor and project manager and producer.

Above all she’s cheerful, funny, positive and has the experience to make a project really work. Every time I’ve worked with Sookio it’s been an absolute pleasure.
