Drinkaware is an independent trust working to combat alcohol misuse and promote responsible drinking in the UK.

The project

We developed copy for the Drinkaware: Track and Calculate Units App for iOS, along with accompanying promotional material including posters, wallet cards and the App Store itself.

Sticking to a clear style guide, we produced copy that was encouraging and supportive (rather than preachy!), in-keeping with the ethos of the client.

The outcome

An app which received glowing reviews, praised for its clarity. Impartial information is presented sensitively and leads users to realistically re-think their approach to alcohol.



Only used this app for a short while but it’s apparent straight away how much thought has gone in to it.

It doesn’t just track what you drink but it explains exactly what category you fall into and what that means for your health.

I’m going to use it and I think it will genuinely help me to cut down.
