Internet Watch Foundation

The client

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), brings together governments, law enforcement and the online community to find, report and remove child sexual abuse images and videos on the internet.

The project

The IWF is in the process of launching dedicated online Reporting Portals in 15 countries, including 12 UK territories, to help fight the spread of child abuse material.

Giving each country its own Portal allows the citizens of that country to directly and anonymously report abusive material hosted in that territory to the IWF for quick removal.

We were asked to create a media kit containing the mix of assets needed for the IWF to promote the Portal in each new territory.

The outcome

To support the IWF's international Portal launch, Sookio provided:

  • Press releases announcing the launch of the portal and including key quotes
  • Web copy
  • Button and icon designs, with hover-over functionality
  • Poster designs
  • Social media posts, to help people promote the Portal themselves
  • Updated PowerPoint presentation
  • Brand messaging guidance
We asked Sookio to step-in and produce a comprehensive marketing package to be used internationally, and in the space of just a few weeks.

The project was complex in its sensitivity but Sookio crafted excellent copy which understood what we’re about and encapsulated all of our key messaging. They produced some high standard design elements too, which spanned across web and print design.

The completed package will be central to our international programme here at the IWF, and could be essential in helping to tackle online child sexual abuse imagery around the world.
