Sookio and SPEAK are connecting global communities

We’re proudly announcing our partnership with SPEAK, the language and community project connecting people across dozens of global destinations.

Sometimes, a client gets in touch who you simply have to shout about. You might be aware of Sookio’s work with Techfugees, through whom we were lucky to meet the great people at SPEAK.

SPEAK connects newcomers from all over the world with like-minded communities in their new home cities. Together, they share language and culture, making new friendships along the way.

It’s a relaxed, welcoming way to learn a new language, and the numbers speak for themselves:

  • 11 countries have active chapters across…

  • 24 cities, sharing…

  • 46 languages among…

  • 33,000 community members from…

  • 175 countries in total

It’s a great idea with a thriving community and an awesome team behind it all, so you can see why we were eager to get involved

What are Sookio doing?

You might have noticed there’s a bit of a thing going on in the world at the moment. That means a lot of companies getting to grips with a new way of doing things, SPEAK are no exception.

Now’s a great time for a content audit to make sure you’re talking, with clarity, to the right audience. We’re helping SPEAK keep things clear and consistent across their social media channels.

Uncertain times are also prime opportunities for content creation. It’s a chance to make a definitive statement and give your audience peace of mind. Working with experts in language, community building, and migration, we’re producing regular blog content to ensure SPEAK’s mission can continue throughout lockdown.

Sue Keogh, our Director, says, “This was such a perfect fit because both Sookio and SPEAK are all about using digital platforms to connect people in the real world. We’re always sharing tips about making a big splash with your content, it’s great to be doing that in a more focused way on behalf of such a fantastic project.”
