Meet the Untanglers, our new learning sessions for clients

New for 2024! Untanglers are our regular clients-only sessions where we hone in on knotty challenges faced by marketing professionals and explore solutions together.

Hosted by Founder Sue Keogh, each time you’ll meet different digital specialists from the Sookio team, swap tips with fellow comms professionals, and discover new tools and approaches you can apply to your own marketing to get even better results.

We’re really excited at running the sessions. Here’s an overview of what to expect!

What are the Untanglers?

These are regular sessions are exclusively for clients, taking place every six weeks or so. Each time we’ll take a contemporary challenge faced by comms professionals and untangle it together, sharing essential tips and insights.

Coming up!

25 January: Untangling sustainability in digital marketing

7 March: Untangling AI for comms professionals

18 April: Untangling the 2024 social media conundrum

30 May: Untangling content for lead generation

11 July: Untangling data and measuring success

3 October: Untangling your marketing budget

12 December: Untangling your marketing strategy for 2025

It was great to join my first session today and meet everyone, share thoughts and listen to all your wise, ‘finger on the pulse’ advice & top tips so thank you very much!

I finished feeling very inspired and it was also refreshing and reassuring to discuss topics with like-minded others as it can feel quite lonely working in a comms vacuum!

Who are the Untanglers for?

Marketing and comms professionals from junior to senior level who want to keep their skills sharp and learn from peers across many different sectors.

Feel free to invite as many people from your company as you like, or nominate a colleague if you can’t make it yourself.

Where have they sprung from?

We launched them originally as Sharpeners, and they ran as monthly sessions throughout the 2021 and 2022 pandemic era.

Everyone loved them! They’ve had a moment to rest and recharge, and now they’re back with their new name: Untanglers.

Why do we run these sessions?

We want to offer the opportunity for the brilliant people we work with to connect with each other, swap tips and approaches, and learn together in a friendly and informal environment.

It’s our way of saying thanks to our clients and giving something back that goes above and beyond the simple set of deliverables on a contract.

What's the format?

Each hour-long session will be run on Zoom on a Thursday.

Your hosts will be founder Sue Keogh and Campaigns Manager Hector Corey, our Man with the Stats, plus digital specialists from Sookio campaigns, content and strategy, all keen to share their knowledge.

We'll kick off by exploring the topic, then there might be a Q&A with a digital specialist, practical activities to try there and then, and opportunities for group discussions so we can all learn together.

We’ll also send round further reading and action points following the session.

Who can attend?

If you’re working with Sookio, come along! You can bring more than one person, so please do invite anyone else in your team who you think could benefit. The main thing is, your company has to be working with Sookio.

Bonus places! Each time we’ll offer up to three additional seats, for example to a prospective client, former client or someone who has been to one of our learning events.

Are the sessions all online?

Yes. We also want to encourage an open discussion and create a private space. As such we won't be recording the sessions, and everything will be in confidence. Do turn cameras on so we can all see each other.

How do you join?

We’re keeping it simple! All clients will be sent a personal invite then added to the calendar entry containing a Zoom link.

For one of the bonus spots, simply send us a note via our contact page and we’ll see if we can fit you in. See you there!
