Sookio Founder joins cyber security startup in Non-Exec Director role

Sookio Founder Sue Keogh has joined Secure Connect to Cloud as a Non-Executive Director, bringing her specialist communication skills to the cyber security startup’s Board to help win investment and thrive.

With a guiding principle of 'Trust every cloud connection, always', SCC is a patent-protected, simple and secure system that protects organisations from cyber attacks and technical outages. And it's a pretty big problem...

✴️ Ransomware and identity theft <<<Attacks in 2024 alone cost organisations $3.6bn, including Transport for London, Ministry of Defence, and the Snowflake data breach.

The British Library’s research services are still disrupted after the attack in 2023, and Marks and Spencer, Co-Op and Harrods have all suffered commercial losses following cyber attacks in 2025.

✴️ Vulnerability exploits <<<Key organisations like NHS England, Nominet, GOV.UK and Mitre all breached.

✴️ Denial of Service attacks <<<There were 21.3m attacks, with Amazon Web Services, Google, and Cloudflare all targeted.

And of course, there's a hugely negative impact on businesses and customers, and it uses up vital taxpayer resources that could be spent on something else - like good healthcare and education.

There are so many sectors that would benefit from the system Secure Connect to Cloud provides, and our initial focus is to work with our partner data centres, SaaS and IoT solution providers to offer it as an option to their clients.

Sue’s role is to bring in extensive communications experience and a knack for explaining complex tech to different audiences, like investors, customers and clients. Complementing the deep tech and cyber security expertise of Founder Simon Wincott FRSA, and fellow NEDs, Hamish Singh QCB BEM, Phil Sheridan and Stephen Hawthorne.
