Our Director, Sue Keogh, will be on the StartUp Britain Bus on 24 June 2015 to offer tips to new businesses on communicating with more clarity.
The StartUp Britain Bus Tour is aimed at anyone interested in starting a business, or looking to scale their business up. The nationwide tour will be supporting businesses across Britain with free mentoring and workshops, connecting startup entrepreneurs, mentors and business experts to unleash entrepreneurship across the country.
Sue will be getting on board when the bus comes to Cambridge, in her capacity as a Sage Business Expert. The topic of her talk will be 'How startups can get their message across'.
"We often find in startups that the core team is very technical, and they struggle to put it all into plain English so people understand what they actually do," says Sue. "And of course if people don't 'get it' straight away, the business loses valuable attention in the early days, which can hold them back."
Sue plans to run through tips on communicating clearly, what to put on your homepage and about pages, and how layout on the web affects the way people understand and retain what the information in front of them.
