The Communication Untangled podcast is back! Who will you meet in series 3?
What do you get when you cross an orchestra conductor, two funeral directors, and a man dressed as a giant testicle?
Series 3 of Communication Untangled! It’s the podcast which explores the tiny facets of communication which shape our behaviour – but which we often don't notice.
Our first two series centred around elements of communication which were tangible - objects you could hold in your hand, like a ticket, or a menu, or instructions for a medical device. The series earned 2 nominations at the Independent Podcast Awards 2025 - delighted.
For series 3, we’re zooming out to untangle different techniques, and within very different communications environments.
Across the six episodes, we’ll take you from the courtroom to the basketball court to emergency incidents where good communication among paramedics is critical in saving lives.
You’ll learn how the best practitioners in their field use communication techniques to motivate, negotiate, and navigate difficult topics – like death, like cancer, like defending criminal cases of fraud, corruption and cocaine trafficking. Sometimes it’s about using humour. Sometimes it’s about speaking plainly. A lot of the time, as you’ll hear, it’s about knowing when to say nothing at all.
The goal of the podcast is to highlight these hidden techniques. And as a listener, you’ll be able to steal a whole new set of approaches to apply in your own business, marketing and brand.
